Common questions
How is coaching different from therapy or medical care?
Coaching focuses on your goals, growth, and next steps. It is not therapy, and it is not medical advice, even though Dr. Kato is a physician. If something calls for clinical care, we will talk about finding the right professional.
What happens in the discovery call?
It is a free 30-minute online conversation. We talk about what you want to change and whether coaching or consulting is a good fit. There is no obligation to continue.
How are fees set?
Fees depend on the format and length of our work together. We agree on them after the discovery call. Payment is made online through Stripe.
Are sessions online? Can we meet in person?
Sessions take place on Google Meet, in English or Japanese. In-person sessions are also available in Manhattan.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share in our sessions stays between us, except where disclosure is required by law.
